Bringing this update forward for the new season will allow more time to test the game.
They reported that in this way they will catch any unintended mechanics and consequences of the patch. This means that until season 20 is formally launched, it is possible that they will make several revisions.
They announced that once the new season is released, the stats and mechanics of the cards will remain unchanged throughout the competitive period. There may be extraordinary cases in which a mechanic is not properly adjusted, but they will notify through their communication channels in advance and ask for the community’s opinion.
The developers hope that this new process will significantly reduce the likelihood of a situation arising like the one that happened in Season 19, when they received harsh criticism from players for mid-season changes.
The Sky Mavis team was thoroughly pleased with the first round of balancing conducted days earlier, in which they actively sought feedback from the community, making it clear that they were delighted with the response of over 40 unique suggestion sheets from players and managers in the game.
This could be seen as one of the initial steps to bring the community closer to the act of co-creation around Axie.
