This Tuesday, January 25, Axie Infinity developers announced a new update, where changes and improvements will be implemented within the ecosystem, to balance the game and make it more competitive among users.
They also informed that this will be the last significant update until the Season 21 buffer period.
However, the Axie Infinity team left open the possibility to make fixes until the launch of Season 21 in case of bugs found during that period.
What will the Axie Infinity update bring?
In the new update, some changes will be made to the balance of the creatures, such as improvements in the speed of the Axies of the Dawn type, with the aim of making them more useful in the game’s battles.
Now, the Dawn Axies will be similar to the Mechanical Axies in the sense that they will be fast and will do constant damage with skill, but with different optimal cards due to the type of creatures.
With these changes, it is possible that we will see new types of “Axies Terminators” or modified creatures in the next season, as is customary in the game when making these types of changes.
Some additional improvements were also added, including:
- Modifications in the visual effects to obtain greater synchrony in the actions of the Axies.
- Correction of a bug that showed the wrong class icon.
- Axies expressions are back!
- Updated some actions to show the correct activation text.
- Updated attack and defense score of some cards.
How to upgrade to the latest version of Axie Infinity?
To upgrade to the latest version of Axie Infinity, you must follow the steps below:
Upgrade for Desktop with Mavis Hub:
- Open Mavis Hub.
- Select the upgrade button.
Upgrade for Android:
- Access the app download link.
- Click “download” and install the new version.
- Run the app and log in to your Mavis Hub account.
Update for iOS:
- Open the TestFlight app.
- Refresh the list of apps to see the update.
- The current version will still work, but an update is coming (depending on Apple’s review process, the update may take 24-48 hours).
